The Clark Fork near Missoula stays accessible in winter. Midges are the primary food source and trout stack in the deeper, slower sections of the river.

This box is built around the Clark Fork's winter hatch calendar — midges. Every fly was chosen with nymphing and midge fishing in slower water in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.
