Yellowstone River - Fall Fly Box
Fish the Yellowstone like you know it — because now you do.
The Yellowstone River Fall Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Yellowstone from September through November. Fall transforms the Yellowstone. Brown trout push out of the deeper sections and become aggressive hunters, while cutthroat and rainbow trout feed heavily on BWOs and streamers.
This box is built around the Yellowstone's fall hatch calendar — blue-winged olives, mahogany duns, and midges. Every fly was chosen with streamer fishing and BWO dry fly fishing in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.
What's in the box:
36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering large streamers, BWO dries, mahogany duns, and sculpin patterns. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.
Pro tip from the water: October on the Yellowstone is special. Big browns are aggressive and visible in the clear fall water — this is one of the best streamer fisheries in the state.
Whether you're making your first trip to the Yellowstone or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.
Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
