The Yellowstone River Summer Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Yellowstone from June through August. Summer on the Yellowstone is world-class. Salmonfly and golden stonefly hatches kick off the season, followed by caddis, PMDs, and the hopper fishing that Paradise Valley is famous for.

This box is built around the Yellowstone's summer hatch calendar — salmonflies, golden stones, caddis, PMDs, and grasshoppers. Every fly was chosen with dry fly fishing with large attractors and hopper-dropper rigs in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.

What's in the box:

36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering salmonfly imitations, golden stone dries, large hoppers, caddis, and attractor nymphs. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.

Pro tip from the water: Hopper fishing in Paradise Valley is Montana at its finest. Fish the grassy banks along the cottonwoods from a drift boat in July and August.
