Yellowstone River (YNP) - Fall Fly Box
Fish the Yellowstone like you know it — because now you do.
The Yellowstone River Fall Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Yellowstone inside Yellowstone National Park from September through October. The crowds thin, the cottonwoods go gold, and the fishing gets better. BWOs provide reliable afternoon dry fly windows while big articulated streamers produce the largest fish of the season.
This box is built around the Yellowstone's fall hatch calendar — blue-winged olives, Fall Caddis, and streamers for migrating fish. Every fly was chosen with BWO dry fly fishing on overcast afternoons and swinging streamers through deep pools in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.
What's in the box:
36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering articulated streamers, BWO dries, RS2 nymphs, and Fall Caddis patterns. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.
Pro tip from the water: The Black Canyon stretch of the Yellowstone sees far fewer anglers in fall. If you don't mind a hike, you'll have miles of prime Cutthroat water entirely to yourself.
Whether you're making your first trip to the Yellowstone or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.
Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
